John “Sean” J. Hanlon IV, CFP® founded Hanlon Investment Management (HIM) in 1999 and is Chairman, CEO and Chief Investment Officer. HIM owns and operates a turnkey-asset-management-platform serving the investment needs of over 20,000 individual investors, retirement plans, trusts and institutions.
Sean leads the Board of Managers at wholly owned Interactive Advisory Software (IAS). IAS is a fully-integrated, cloud-based technology solution used to operate a financial planning and wealth management practice, serving the needs of Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), Independent Financial Advisors and over 150,000 clients.
Sean serves on the Stevens Institute of Technology Board of Trustees, where he is Chairman of the Finance Committee, Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Hanlon Financial Systems Center and Chairman of Student Managed Investment Fund Advisory Board. He is also a member of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey Financial Planning Advisory Board and the Forbes Investment Team, periodically publishing articles on www.Forbes.com.
Sean earned a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens in 1980 and earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 1997.
